Nature & Street Photography

printed on japanese awagami washi & other fine art paper

While I specialize in documentary-style family photography, capturing the beauty of everyday life, my personal work also explores overlooked moments in nature and on the streets — such as wildflowers on the roadside, fading light in a quiet alley, or the unexpected way the Eiffel Tower appears between buildings.

With a calm, observant approach, I aim to reveal the subtle poetry in the ordinary — fleeting moments, soft details, and spaces often passed by. Through my lens, I invite viewers to pause and rediscover the wonder woven into daily life.

A Family documentary photography session  is all about capturing the real, raw, and everyday magic that makes your family yours.

No posing, no planning—just real moments of life unfolding naturally. All you have to do is be yourselves and enjoy the time together. You don’t need a fancy event or a spotless house—your ordinary, everyday moments are what make your family unique.

Whether you're baking cookies, playing in the backyard, or having a lazy Sunday morning, these little slices of life are the ones you'll treasure. Vacations, celebrations, or just a regular day at home—it’s all worth remembering!

Embrace the mess, the laughter, the tears, and the chaos! Life isn’t about perfection—it’s the spontaneous hugs, the mischievous giggles, the not-so-clean faces, and even the occasional tantrums that you’ll look back on and smile. These are the moments that make life beautifully real.

Let me join you as your storyteller, capturing the genuine love, connection, and craziness that make your family unforgettable.
Let’s make memories that’ll bring smiles and happy tears for years to come!

Photography techniques used

The blur and softness in my images are created in-camera, not added later. I use freelensing or Lensbaby lenses to achieve this distinctive effect. My post-processing is kept to a bare minimum, in order to preserve the natural atmosphere and authenticity of each moment. I want the viewer to feel the real beauty as it was captured—imperfect, raw, and full of emotion.

Dreamlike bokeh produced in-camera

Freelensing is a fascinating and unexpected technique. I photograph with the lens detached from the camera, holding the body in one hand and the lens in the other. By subtly shifting the angle and distance between them, I can create unique visual distortions and beautiful, dreamlike bokeh.

I use an old camera—no longer suitable for professional work—paired with half-broken or vintage lenses, often from different brands. This approach is not only creatively rich but also eco-conscious, giving new purpose to equipment that’s otherwise incompatible with modern systems.

PAper carefully selected for each image

I’m a paper lover—there’s something deeply satisfying about spending time in a stationery/paper shop, touching and exploring traditional handmade papers.

When it comes to printing photography, the choice of paper is essential. The texture and feel of the paper add far more to an image than we might expect. That’s why I carefully select what I feel is the best paper for each photograph.

For most of my soft nature photography, I use Awagami Bamboo paper—its gentle texture beautifully complements the mood of the images. For certain pieces, I use my favorite Awagami Premium Unryu, which brings a subtle nuance through its swirling kozo (mulberry) fibers.

For street photography, I tend to choose Hahnemühle Fine Art paper, which gives the crisp, detailed finish that urban scenes demand.
